Sticky Buns
These are our annual Christmas morning treat. They are easy to make in a bread machine.
Dough:
Heat oven to 375F. Roll out dough into a large rectangular sheet, about 1/4" thick.
To make the glaze, mix all the ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Pour into the bottom of the baking dish. [I use a small 9x11 dish; the white baking dish is too large.] Sprinkle nuts on top of glaze.
Spread butter from Filling ingredients over dough. Mix cinnamon and sugar and spread over buttered dough. Sometimes I mix brown and white sugar, instead of just white sugar. Roll the dough up into a log, rolling along the longer edge. Cut dough log into 1" sections and place these in the baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes. When done, immediately remove rolls from the oven and flip onto a serving tray. If you wait they will be stuck to the pan, but you can warm the bottom of the pan on the stove to heat the glaze up again.
